It’s that time of year again, the time when we kiss our sun-tanned skin goodbye, hang up our flower crowns, and swap our selfie sticks for a pen and notepad, all in preparation to tackle another year of academia. For those of us in college, going back to school means reuniting with our friends who have been separated from for far to long, and packing up all of our belongings yet again, feeling as though we are always on the move from one location to another. There is so much preparation and consideration that goes into moving back to college. On top of that, there’s mentally preparing yourself for the year ahead: how to find balance between academics, socialization, clubs, and wellness. In this five-week blog series, I will give you some tips and tricks to prepare yourself for another year on the good ole college campus. I’ll make sure to cover all the bases, in case we have any readers out there who are college-bound for the first time! Make sure to check back every week for tips on packing, adjusting, dorm-room etiquette, and tips to make your move to college seamless, and to help you live up to the old saying, “college is the best four years of your life.” Now let’s hit the books!
