Don’t Start Off the New Year with Commitment Issues

You know you did it. On January 1st, you pulled those old running shoes out of the back of your closet and said, “This is it. This is the year I get fit.” and hit the pavement.
Or maybe you only got as far as the front door before you said, “Well…it’s cold outside. I’ll wait an hour… or until tomorrow,” and there you have it. Your resolution is already broken. Now I know we don’t like to pay for things that aren’t necessarily enjoyable, such as gym memberships, but sometimes it’s worth it.
Let’s face it, no one wants to get out of bed at 7 a.m. and go to the gym when you could sleep in until 9. But I guarantee if you do, and you do it every day, it’ll become routine. After a while, you won’t seem so tired in the morning. You’re pants will feel looser and you’ll be walking with a newfound confidence. Not to mention you’ll find yourself running or biking further and further every week.
If you want it, work for it. Fitness isn’t easy. It’s a commitment. Don’t buy those expensive but beautiful underarmour pants until you dedicate yourself 100% to being the best person you can be. You won’t see results overnight. Hell, you won’t even see results in a week. But if you push harder and harder, other people will see a change just in your attitude. Strength is self-confidence.
xoxo, Christine
