Anyone who knows me know that my love of literature runs deep. My love affair with books goes as far back as far as I can remember. I was reading chapter books in 1st grade, fascinated by plots and characters. 14 years later and nothing has changed. When I have down time, I love to read. I haven't had enough time to read for fun lately, but that's okay. My British Romanticism class allows me to read some classic prose and poetry that satisfies my craving for literature. Every summer I have a reading goal. Every New Years I resolve to read more books than the year before, and I really strive to reach my goal.

Books have done wonders for me. They've helped me grow. They've taught me understanding and empathy. I've learned to analyze things, and see them differently. I've traveled so many places and lived so many lives, all thanks to works, strung into sentences, weaved into a story. Without books, I don't think I'd be the writer I am today. I don't think I'd be the person I am today.
