Christmas, Why You Gotta Play Me Like That?

So everyone knows “the best time of the year” is Christmas, right? I completely agree, I love Christmas! Giving gifts, receiving gifts, hot cocoa, Christmas trees, you know what I’m talking about. But let me be real for a hot minute, the decorations do not, and I mean DO NOT need to be put out 3 months before… Whether they are out to be bought, or out in the mall for decorations, September is far too early. And ordinarily I don’t really get mad or respond in such a negative way, but my birthday is the 27th of September, and to see birthday decor for Jesus before I even celebrate my own, well, let me just say I’m pissed. Jesus, I thought we were bros? Why you gotta play me like that?
I don’t think that people need to be taking pictures with Santa anytime even CLOSE to my birthday. And if your Christmas decorations are out before Thanksgiving, then you’re dead to me and I hate you. DON’T GET ME WRONG, I love Christmas lights, I have them hanging in my bedroom at home, BUT I don’t want to see them out and about until after snow is on the ground, people.
I honestly don’t get how Christmas deserves 3 months, and sometimes more, in stores while Halloween barely gets a month with “back-to-school” so it isn’t out until October, and Thanksgiving barely makes any kind of exposure other than from grocery stores… So let’s stop the madness. No Christmas decorations before Thanksgiving, if the radios can wait (only until the day after, but at least there’s an effort) until Black Friday, then why can’t everything else?
