Educate Yourself: Who the fuck is running for president?

No one actually likes to talk about politics. But I feel it is better to be educated on a subject than be blissfully ignorant. So I believe this post could help people like myself know exactly what we are getting into when it comes to the race for the presidency in 2016. Normally, I have NO idea who is running, what they stand for, who they are as a person, etc. I typically would go to my local voting station and vote for the lesser of two evils, or anyone whose name I thought was cool… Not the best way, but my dad always told me, “If you don’t vote, you have no right to bitch about who is elected.” So I always make it my mission to vote, and this year, I am making it my job to educate myself on all the possible candidates, and I figure, why not spread the knowledge?
So these are the candidates as pictured currently on the NYT website:
Now let us break them down by name, party, and who they are/were in politics:
Democrats:
Lincoln Chafee: Former Rhode Island Governor
Hillary Rodham Clinton: Former Secretary of State
Martin O’Malley: Former Governor of Maryland
Bernie Sanders: United States Senator
Jim Webb: Former United States Senator
Republicans:
Jeb Bush: Former Florida Governor
Ben Carson: Retired Neurosurgeon
Chris Christie: New Jersey Governor
Ted Cruz: United States Senator
Carly Fiorina: Former Business Executive
Lindsey Graham: United States Senator
Mike Huckabee: Former Arkansas Governor
Bobby Jindal: Louisiana Governor
George Pataki: Former New York Governor
Rand Paul: United States Senator
Rick Perry: Former Texas Governor
Marco Rubio: United States Senator
Rick Santorum: Former United States Senator

There are still a few candidates that have yet to tell us if they’re running or not:
Joseph R. Biden Jr. (Democrat): Vice President — Probably not
Now, these are just the candidates, any other kind of research you will have to do yourself…Unless something really interesting pops up, kinda like Donald Trump running for president. But still, God only knows how long that will last!
But these are our candidates, and these are the prospective future presidents. So do your research, and next year in November, vote wisely.
