I’ve been on a cleaning kick. Everything must go! Just kidding, but the mess that has taken over my room is driving me insane. So I decided to clean up and clean out. In the process I tackled my make-up bin. Truth be told, I am a closet drugstore make-up junkie. I love make-up, even though I hardly find time to put it on. I also tend to hang on to things long after they have expired, so I decided that in honor of my new brainchild, I would clean out the make-up bin and finish up some nearly-empty products to bring you…drum roll please…THE BEAUTY REVIEW!
I will review products from left to right.
Beauty Concepts Tickled Pink Detoxifying Wipes- These make-up remover wipes were the BOMB DIGGITY. They had a light grapefruit scent and left my skin feeling refreshed and tingly, I would even use them on days I didn’t wear make-up but was too tired to full-on wash my face. Since I bought these at Ross ($3.99 for 60 wipes!) I hope I will be able to find them again.

Dove Dry Shampoo- This dry shampoo is one of my favorites. Right next to Not Your Mother’s. This product has a great scent, and makes my hair look completely clean between washes. I like to wash my hair every other day, but I don’t like when my hair doesn’t look clean, so I always turn to my Dove dry shampoo. Sadly, I can only ever seem to find this product at Target, but sometimes they have great buy one get one sales on Dove, so it makes it worth the drive.

Wet & Wild Lipstick in 24 Carrot Gold- This lipstick goes back to 11th grade when orange lipsticks were really in style. I loved this lipstick, especially since it cost me $1.05 after tax. To this day, I still buy these particular lipsticks because the color goes on really bold and lasts all day long. Sadly, this particular tube is just really old and has seen better days.
NYC Liquid Lip Shine in Petal Pink- This lip product is one that mom my grabbed for me out of a clearance bin, and to be honest, I was not a fan. It was really sticky, but it did have a nice shine to it.
Sephora Jumbo Waterproof Liner in 08 Gold – I LOVE this eyeliner. I used it insanely fast and was holding onto it in case I ever get around to buying a new one. I did attempt once, and
bought the wrong share of gold. The color of this liner was intense, and having green eyes, I love wearing gold liner. The best part about jumbo liners is that they double as eye shadow. I will definitely be purchasing this product again!
e.l.f. 3-in-1 Mascara- This mascara was perfect for those of us who are ballin’ on a budget! I ordered this from the e.l.f. website for a couple bucks and was not disappointed. For a cheap mascara, it works like an expensive one, making it one of my go-to mascaras! The packaging claims that it will lengthen, define, and volumize, and it really delivers on all three!
Sephora Cream Eye Shadow, set of 5- These little shadows were my first Sephora purchase way back in 9th or 10th grade. I was looking for some gold-tone shadows and these came in a little gift set. Sadly, I didn’t realize how hard it would be to evenly apply cream shadows. They’re really liquidy and also incredibly bold, but the creamy consistency doesn’t allow them to be blended or toned down, making them kind of flashy/trashy.
e.l.f. Eyelid Primer in Sheer- This final beauty review is probably one of my all-time favorite products. I have deep-set eyes, so I always used to suffer from eye shadow creases, no matter what I did. Well not anymore! This eyelid primer keeps my shadow set and bright all day long. I’ve gone 12+ hours without my eye shadow creasing, bleeding out, or fading. For only $2, that’s quality. I doubt I will ever venture out and purchase a $20 primer when I know e.l.f. makes such and amazing product that comes in multiple shades. If you want long lasting eye color, I highly recommend purchasing this product! I know I’ll be buying it again and again
I hope that my first rendition of The Beauty Review is everything you had hoped it would be and that you now have some new products you want to pick up next time you’re browsing the beauty section at your local drug store. Until next time, stay fabulous!
