Oh hey. I’m Johnna, it’s awesome to meet you all! I’m currently a twenty-two year old graduate student, just trying to figure out where I belong in this game called Life.
I’m sure you are all dying to know some of my interests, likes, dislikes, etc.
So instead, I’m going to write you a brief narrative on some of the world’s current events.
Or nah. Instead, I’ll just talk about me. Because it’s all about me (or at least that’s what my mother always says, hehe). Ladies, it is true, the older we get, the more we become like our mothers. I guess I’m really lucky that I have a kickass Mama then.
But I’m a very outgoing individual, and tend to get overly involved. I have held many leadership positions in a variety of clubs and organizations as an undergraduate student, and now I am feeling utterly useless because I’m considered “old” on a college campus, and must move on to whatever it is the “old college” kids are doing. But I always love helping people, and I will try to go out of my way to make a difference. I have been a part of numerous service trips during these past few years, with my trip to Jamaica being without a doubt, my absolute favorite.
Something everyone knows about me is my obsession with Pinterest. Nicknamed the “Pinterest Queen” by family and friends, I spend most of my free time pursuing the pages of Pinterest, finding new ideas and recipes to make. This obsession actually led to a Pinterest blog that I started several years ago, however, I am excited to be spreading my wings and finding a new path in the world of blogging, and sharing with all of you!
I have a serious Dunkin Donuts addiction, but I hate coffee. So iced tea is my addiction. And so is Diet Coke. But I am trying oh so hard to rid myself of the large amounts of Diet Coke I find myself consuming on a weekly basis. In addition to my struggle with my beverage consumption, I struggle with some of the views and opinions that people have about my generation. And I’m making it my goal to prove that we are more than the “participant trophy” generation. I believe that there are many assumptions made about us, and it’s time to prove everyone wrong.
I adore my family, friends, and dogs more than anything. And I’ve come to find that you can only rely on a small amount of people in this world, so I’m keeping those people close. In addition, I’m trying to start a “new me” journey. I’m trying to find ways to better myself, and different avenues to make myself happy as a strong and independent woman. So I guess I’ll let you know how that journey goes for me!
See you soon!
Johnna
