Introducing Melissa!

Hello there! My name is Melissa and I am a 40 year old teacher, runner, snowboarder, paddle boarder, yoga chic, biology geek, and baseball enthusiast who is just trying her best to live life to its fullest! This is my first attempt at blogging so bare with me.

​​Despite being a teacher for over 15 years and being accustomed to instructing others, I also enjoy being a student. I love learning and trying new things. I am never afraid to make an ass out of myself, especially if it makes someone else smile. I love encouraging others to be their best

and love to play a part in helping them succeed in something they never thought they could do.

When I am not busy doing what I do I love to spend time with family and friends going to concerts, comedy shows, baseball, ice hockey games, or just grabbing a bite to eat and a drink. I try to live a somewhat healthy lifestyle but love my dark chocolate (and an adult beverage from time to time).

I have learned to embrace my quirks, so don't be surprised when I rock a tutu and some funky colored hair when the mood strikes! I call it like I see, which doesn't always agree with some, but I am not going to pretend to be someone I am not... love me or leave me, but never expect me to be anything less than me.
