Introducing Christine

Hey there everyone! I guess I should have taken the time to introduce myself before I jumped on into this whole blogging thing. My name is Christine but I’ve been called Chrissy for over a decade now. I am 20 years old and still coming to terms with the fact that it is not 2013. That just goes to show life does not stop when you graduate high school.

Anywho, I guess I should tell you guys a little bit about myself. To start, I am a caffeine-fueled workaholic who can’t live with stress but can’t live without it. 18 credits? Doing it. List of extra-curriculars longer than the grocery list of a family of 8? You betcha. 2.5 on-campus jobs, part-time job back home and volunteer work? All in a days work. Yeah, I guess you can say I thrive on a busy schedule.

But what about down time? Well I’m glad you asked. I am a nature lover. Some may call me a hippie tree-hugger, but to each his own. I love to hike. I find peace out in nature when I’m miles away from civilization. The air is cleaner, my thoughts are clearer and I’m relaxed. I also like to ride my bike and run. I’ve already been making a mental list of all the 5k’s I want to do this year. It grows every time I check my e-mail. Besides spending time outdoors I also love to read and spend time with my friends and boyfriend. Jake is amazing. Whether it’s talking, cuddling, or taking an expected trip to Walmart, there’s never a dull moment. Some say high school sweethearts are just a thing of the past, but we’re proving them all wrong.

So I’m pretty down to earth, right? But there are a few things that grind my gears. Ignorant people who don’t take the time to learn the facts. Politicians and the corruption of government. Ground beef. But I deal with these things. I tolerate them to the best of my ability.

So there you have it. Some basics about who I am and what I like. I look forward to joining the blogosphere.
