Happy New Year to everyone from the Always a Lady crew. In 2015, the only real resolution we have is to actually keep up with this blog better than we already have. And by "we" I mean "me." There's only currently one blogger here and that doesn't really help much. With the part-time job I already have and school starting again at the end of the month, it doesn't really make for good blogging. So anyone who is interested, please head over to our "Wanted" page and sign up to be one of our bloggers. I would love ot read other people's ideas and post them.

Anyway, in leu of the holidays there have been many ups and downs for many I'm sure. There are the downs:

-Having to go through a holiday without a loved one

-Santa not bringing you what you wanted

-Not having enough alcohol for New Years even though you clearly had too much to begin with.

You get what I mean....

And the ups:

-Getting asked out by your crush

-Getting exactly what you wanted from Santa

-Not having to work every day of the holiday season

Again, you get what I mean....

And of course, there are those things you don't know how to feel about.... Like everyone is all of a sudden engaged to be married, or everyone is having a baby (or their second baby....even if it's too soon after the first). I'm sure everyone had at least one of those posts on their Facebook timeline. Or maybe you were lucky enough to have one happen in your family... Who knows, but there has yet to be a holiday season since I reached adulthood (18 years and up) without one of those posts.

Personally, I wouldn't want this to be me. I know that it is so cute to get a wedding ring as a Christmas gift, but thats you and about 20 other girls at this point... Then everyone tries to make wedding plans and you're basically fucked. Unless you look at it from a silver lining perspective as, "Well everyone is trying to plan their wedding anyway so no matter what I may be fucked." (not the kind of silver lining your were expecting huh?) Despite this, guys do it anyway (girls do too apparently, there was a girl proposing to a guy on my timeline this year....). They order your rings, they wrap it up nice and tight, be sure to ask daddy his blessing, and boom, Merry Christmas, you're engaged! I am not going to keep my congratulations from you because getting married is cute and all well and good. I just wouldn't want something that's been done 1,000 times over again done for me.. Guys need to get a little more creative.. Go search "Surprise Proposals" on Youtube and you'll find the real men. The guys who have more creativity in their heads for proposals than I do in one pinky nail. The guys who have been planning their proposals longer than most girls have been planning their weddings.. Long story short, if I ever get proposed to on Christmas, I may cry..

Now, of course, I went off on a huge rant that was pretty unnecessary. But hey, we all got our own opinions. Not to mention it has nothing to do with what the title was, but whatever.

All-in-all, 2014 ended in a lovely way, at least for me. And I hope that all of yours ended up as such as well.. And I hope that 2015 is prosperous in every way that you could ever hope. In 2015 I hope that there will be plenty more for you to read here and eventually plenty of other fun stuff for y'all as well (videos, t-shirts, contests, etc.) but I can only get that far with your help! So if you have any ideas, please reach out! Wanna blog for me? Reach out! There are links at the top of the page for all of that. So get on it ladies and gents, I'll be waiting :)
